Vervaardiging:
Buizen worden gemaakt door het naadloze proces.
Warmtebehandeling:
Als eindbehandeling moeten buizen opnieuw worden verwarmd tot een temperatuur van 1200 °F ((650 °C) of hoger en worden afgekoeld (afhankelijk van de kwaliteit) om aan de eisen van deze specificatie te voldoen.
De martensitische kwaliteit UNS S41500 moet opnieuw worden verwarmd tot een temperatuur van 950 °F (510 °C) of hoger en zo nodig worden afgekoeld om aan de voorschriften van deze specificatie te voldoen.
Oppervlakte:
De afgewerkte buizen zijn vrij van schaal. Een geringe hoeveelheid oxidatie wordt niet als schaal beschouwd.
